The LPC is basically the next step to becoming a lawyer - do you want to be a lawyer or a teacher? Alternatively, if you qualify as a lawyer, you can teach the LPC (however I think you need to have 2 years PQE).

not entirely sure what i want to be but im more decided on teachher than lawyer, but if i was to carry on with my law degree and then become a teacher, how to i get teaching experience? i thought i had to have 18 weeks experience before the PGCE...hows that possible..i cant take 18 weeks off

You should definitely choose the one you're more interested in. Both are pretty specialised, but both are things you could go back to do later if you change your mind. So I'm afraid you pretty much need to make your career choice before you can make this decision!
