Sorry I've not been around for a while, again. Been very busy with college work. Very much regretting taking this EPQ now.

So yeah, I've got 4 medicine rejections. Gap year time. Woo.

CBT is the general treatment for PTSD as far as i know. it's different than general CBT for depression and stuff so you have to have it with a specialist and it is quite intensive apparently. i'm guessing they will have told you a bit about what they offer though?

They are giving me a telephone assessment on the 15th... Im guessing once they have done that the health in mind group will know what direction to go in.

The stupid thing is one of the very things I need is what I have cut myself off from... friends.

:frown: how so? do you think you could try and regain contact with them?

Its one of the symptoms... I have been gradually cutting myself off for ages.... in my mind I was doing for protection.... didnt think I was really crippling myself.

I cant ask people to forgive and forget.... I damn sure I have been a total idiot to some people.

I can understand this, during this really bad late last year into early this year, I cut myself off from a number of people, including one of my best friends and another close friend. Can't be fixed now :emo:

I hope things work out from you, and you get the right treatment. :hugs:

Sorry to hear about UCAS mate. If it makes you feel any better, my gap year was really fun and they can be quite productive and fun times if you have something to do. :hugs:

I think we're all just a little bit shaken that she's unwell. She only found out this morning so we're all just a little bit knocked. My other sister went for the usual depression blood work yesterday too so the whole house is a bit pooey :frown:

Awesome about the hamster! I was exactly the same when I got him - my girlfriend carried him (I still won't carry his cage around because I am certain that I'd accidentally kill him). The best way to calm him is to just be around a lot. Have his cage in the same room as you just so he gets used to your noises and smell. Put your hand in the cage without touching him, maybe introduce foods to his cage by keeping your hand in there a little longer until he realises that you are his provider. It takes a while but it's totally worth it. All of my animals now have a habit of getting my attention by banding around and then they wait for me to pick them up! My big brave gerbil gets on top of his cage and just sits there until I move over to them.

Also yoghurt drops are definitely good as a bribery tactic - get the low fat ones and they're not bad for hamsters at all

Poor lass :frown: I hope she feels better about things soon.

Good tips  thanks! I have been handling him everyday since I got him. I think he is slowly getting used to me (the amount of poo that he does when I hold him has gone down and he's only weed on me once.... mmm!)

I have been using food as a bribery tool rather a lot I'm afraid, so far he's had small amounts of: chicken, raisins, peanut, grape, carrot, yoghurt drops, apple, banana and seed bread - a few of which he's taken out of my hand. Oh dear, reading that list makes him sound rather spoiled...:colondollar:

Spoiler

Your gerbil sounds great - hope MC gets that friendly! I had 2 gerbils who used to look after each other - one got a tumour in the end and the other would bring him food - it was lovely.

I'm ugly as hell, you can't be any worse, and I wasn't rejected at previous meets. You'll be fine  It'd be cool if you could make it.

Pfft, doubt it  It's funny - I hadn't realised I was doing it, but I've sort of imagined what people on here look like. Ok: you are 5"10, white and have dark, straight hair, slim but not skinny, handsome face, brown eyes. (this is fun )

How are you today? How long till psych ap? Hope you are sleeping better :hugs:

Nope, I stopped taking it. If you take it on an completely empty stomach (don't eat for 3 hours) it works SO much better. It doesn't give you any better sleep (or longer), just makes you get to sleep faster.

Ooh! Thanks for that. Makes sense - I will try it

Mine is completely spoiled so don't worry about it  Especially in the beginning while they're still trying to figure out who the magic hand is - I think it helps! He used to have the same cage as MC but now he's in a giant fish tank (bought it for £1 and he's a bit of a digger so it works out well for us!). png loves grapes! My gerbils just throw them out of the cage in disgust though.

It's great that he's already coming towards you and letting you hold him

Just got back from Cornwall and feelings a little sad to be home. I miss being by the sea. I wish I could afford to just campout somewhere and stay for weeks at a time :frown:
I would give absolutely anything to go somewhere really isolated and away from everyone, to just be alone and to stop bloody thinking.

Close, definitely close, not too bad at all. I am 5'10 and white, but brown curly hair, blue/gray eyes, slightly overweight.

Still haven't ****ing slept, it's getting ridiculous. Seeing psych on tuesday although I'm not planning on anything good happening at that appointment. I'm going to try and get clozapine although he didn't seem keen on it last time so I'll probably fail at getting that and the whole thing will be a complete waste of time.

How's the zopiclone for you? Still working?

I was wondering where you were! I'm sorry to hear about UCAS :hugs: with a gap year, you'll have a huge advantage though, and you can do loads of cool stuff whilst already having your grades. It's not the end by a long shot :hugs:

Hope you've been okay otherwise
i'm off the quetiapine completely because **** that. only slept 5 hours last night, making up for the sleep marathon it put me on, should all be back to normal after tonight. although i am slightly planning on going out. not sure if i can be arsed though because it's in south london and i'm, well, not, and half the tube is down... on the other hand it's a great opportunity... meh dunno. feel NORMAL today. NORMAL. gonna start getting my life sorted out for real on monday, book some shifts and everything. :fluffy:

Ooh - forgot to ask how your holiday was - hope it was good! Yeah, me too :frown: although I live a 30 minute trip away from the beach, so that's really nice (it's my second home when it's warm enough! which doesn't happen very often up here..... brrr!)

Ah cool - mc loves his cage, but I can tell it's going to be hellish to clean... (it took an engineer and a lot of swearing to put it together:biggrin:)

Woop - I was close, well I got height and hair colour right at least  (Your turn! :clap2:)

Hopefully if you tell him how little you've slept he should try something that will help :console:

Zopiclone is working better, thank god! Getting 5 hours straight on a good night. Although I think I'm sleeping better because I'm generally more chilled out than I was a few weeks ago. I know how unfun 2 hours a night is. Hope you get some sleep soon.

Haha, in my head everyone on the internet is a 300lb world of warcraft playing virgin who lives in his parents' basement. I don't think you want to know what I think you look like. :teehee:

I told him last time and got prescribed antihistamines. :nothing:

It's good zopiclone is still working for you. You should be careful though, if you use it too much it tends to stop working as well I've found.

We don't have a basement :huff: I think you'll find it's the attic instead.

Hahaha! and I was soo nice to you as well! (to be fair, I was expecting you to come back with something like: fat, spotty, lank greasy hair, excessively hairy legs and armpits and a distinctly unpleasant odour, so I suppose I should feel thankful...)

Boohissboo! I thought antihistamines were what they prescribed before turning to zopiclone. A resounding 'meh'.
