Raleigh is situated perfectly between the town and uni. Broadgate is out in the middle of nowhere.

What course are you doing? Broadgate is alot closer to Campus, i can see broadgate from my window so its hardly in the middle of nowhere. Broadgate has just had new extensions and things so its going to be the biggest 'hall' next year!

...but Raleigh is a lot further away from Main Campus if that's where your lectures are.

Broadgate is just across the road from Main Campus, so saying it's in the middle of nowhere is slightly misleading, if not plain wrong!:p:
In your first yr stay in BG (if course is on main campus), but after in your second yr Lenton is muchhhhh better.

Not really. Just stroll down to Jubilee (a couple of minutes walk) then jump onto the hopper bus. That takes you closer to most of the buildings you'd have your lecture in. Broadgate's at the wrong end of campus... the end where there's virtually nothing and you have to wander up hill for a quarter of an hour to get anywhere.

I hate Beeston. I can't understand how people can like it, LOL. The buses don't run that much. I can hop on a bus outside my house any time of day or night and head into town for whatever I want. I'd feel so isolated in Beeston... though I guess it's okay if you drive.

Er what on earth do you mean the buses don't run that much? They run every 10 minutes during the day, straight to the city centre, from about 2 mintues from my house.

And broadgarte park is definitly not in the middle of nowhere- it's right next to campus (takes 10 minutes at most to walk to the library/Trent/LASS) and 10 minutes from beeston centre.

Broadgate Park is not in the middle of nowhere, beeston is basically on ur doorstep. The buses run often to the city centre. Uni park is very close, Broadgate has its own bar, and spar is within the premises. The ppl in broadgate are very friendly.

@pysoticred: Beeston and Lenton are both great, if u prefer to leave in a quite and less crime area, then beeston is for u, if u want an upbeat place then go Lenton. Which ever u choose, u will like.
The thing is to make sure you're sensible when you're out on the streets. Whether it's Beeston, Lenton or Radford don't flash your mobile about, walk in groups if possible and try to stay on the well lit streets (Nottingham's street lighting is very poor though). There's buses into the early hours of the morning and night buses than run every 2 or 3 hours. If you can afford it grab a taxi if you have to walk alone at night.

Nottingham can be a scary place but if you use your head and don't go looking for trouble you can usually steer well clear of the problems.

Lentno has more students as a whole, but Broadgate has more students as a singular residence. xx
