Can anyyone give me any ideas...

Im just wondering if anyone could give me a few ideas, Its my boyfriends 19th birthday tommorow and I am totally skint!Ive just started a new job and when everyone got paid i had only been there two weeks and got emergency taxed and had to give my mum rent money etc,I only get paid next week so ive appologised and told him I will get him a be-lated present, I still feel really ****** though.I can barely afford to get him a card,What can i suggest to him that we can do thats nice for his birthday that doesnt cost alot of money? He has a car,Im only 16 so i I obviously dont,Id just have to get him to drive to the decided place.

Im sorry if this doesnt make any sense or it sounds pathetic lol

A walk sounds like a nice idea, maybe stay in and watch a movie, or ask him what he'd like to do  .

Well if he has got a car then why dont you get him to take you on a drive. me and my frieds used to go on long drives, not to anywhere in particular, we just used to get outselves lost, and always ended up dancing in the middle of a field, or having a picnic or going on a dry ski slope!!!! We had so much fun.
plus its relatively chaep cos its only food and petrol money you need to pay for.

either that or you could visit a city, london, manchester, glasgo, edinburgh (i don't know where you are from so whichever is most approopriate) if you go by megabus.com you can get really cheap tickets, esp if you book in advance by a week or so. i often go from manchester to london for £1.50 return!!!!! And then i can just spend 20 pounds or something treating my boyfriend to a meal and then we can be home by the night!

does that help at all?

Just make the day nice, im sure he'll be happy just with you. rent out a film, light some candles, get some snakc food (the occasionaly indulgence is good, even i say!) and have a nice cuddly night in.

Cook him a nice meal, if he can drive then he will realise that walking sucks.

yeah,good point
if he is the type who appriciates personal gifts then why not do something like a mover maker card (windows media presentation thingy) with loads of pictures of u 2 and a poem and his favourite song as the backing track - t cost less then a pound but shows u care

To be fair, I would not like that. Sounds nauseatingly cushy.

The picnic + walk was a good suggestion however, just cross your fingers for good weather.

Makes sense, I do them for girl mates, you know for christmas / birthday this year anyway so next year they will have something to remember me by. Mine are usually funny (or I try to be)
