Vaginal opening (sorry!)
What is it supposed to look like? smoothly circular or more kind of wavey if you get me? I'm a bit worried that I may have genital warts. My boyfriend doesn't have any signs of genital warts but men are less likely to get symptoms, right?
I know most of you will say 'Go to the doc'. I've been trying to get an appointment with the G.U.M. clinic but they never have any appointments left when I get through.
I wish I knew what my vagina is supposed to look like normally! That way I'd e able to tell but I have never looked at it THAT closely! I know that everyone is different and everything but anyhoo I thought I'd ask.
I looked at some pics of genital warts online and it doesn't seem to look like anything I've seen so far. Has anyone here had genital warts??

I wouldn't worry bout that, though yeah still go to the GUM to check. Vaginal openings vary so greatly. i would suggest looking up some pictures of them, but so many pornographic pics have been enhanced or altered that it wouldnt be worth comparing yourself to them anyway.
The opening changes depending on how often you have sex and if youve had kids or what size/weight you are, it varies on allsorts of issues.
I have to say that after having regular sex it went from being kinda round and smooth to more wavy, and it got bigger which i wasn't happy bout!!

Also the thing is, i promised my friend that I would go with her to the GUM clinic as she wants to go too just for a general check up since she's never had one. I don't know what to do because I don't want to have to discuss 'oh yeah I got genital warts' with her when we're done there!
You could go on your own to see them about you - and sort out so that you are happy with it. Then you could go with your friend at a different point, she doesn't need to know that you have been once for yourself.

wouldn't they think i'm a bit strange and wasting their time if they see me twice in the space of a week or two??
oh and I saw a doc about something completely different before (nothing to do with STIs) and he started going on about sexual health and if I want a check up, then go to the GUM clinic and gave me their like card.

I wouldn't have thought they would mind seeing you again. If you go and see them about you, then it is for a genuine reason, and the same if you go again with your friend. You might not even see the same person if you go a second time.
