weight gain

right, well i'm actually male and have either put on weight or just lost my muscular definition or something. i did have a 6 pack about 2-3 years ago and played regular sport at school (even up to county level at a stage in sixth form). now at uni, not doing any sport whatsoever, i'm still far from fat, but i'd say that my stomach's slightly podgy, which is a bit annoying.

so, could it be purely down to a lack of exercise? would doing x amount of sit-ups a day have effects, or would it be more sensible to join a gym or something? it's just a tad scary as i now see myself getting on of those middle aged man figures, and i havn't even hit my twenties yet.

Ah bless you xx

Sounds like laziness
I suffer from this myself!

Luckily its very simple to sort this out - go running for half an hour a day, and do a couple of sets of sit ups. You'll be trim again in no time

Ooh then post some pics of your newly regained six pack!!

Just do any kind of regular exercise like you did before and perhaps throw in some stomach crunches and stuff like that and you should be ok. Why are you posting anonymously?

i was posting anonymously mainly because my ex goes on here and would absolutely love to rip it out of me.

but i just came back from tesco with a selection of food healthier than ever before. i ate an entire large domino's pizza last night, and it really was a wake up call.

as i said; i'm not fat by any means! this is more about redefining existing muscle, possibly building it a bit more and doing some exercise.
Did I read this wrong or did you just ask why you're putting on wait after you stopped exercising?
Are you SURE you're not overweight...my research indicates we have a lardy amongst us

i know i phrased it a bit poorly, as in the title, but i'm seeking to reverse weight gain. that is, to lose weight - just in a specific area. this weight gain is actually visualand maybe exaggerated on my part if anything, rather than something evident on the scales.

looks like rock_eleven has a friend at long last.

as for the topic of discussion, just try to incorporate some exercise here and there like you used to. x amount of sit ups per day won't sort it. it would be a good idea to join a gym if it concerns you.

you don't look fat at all, but looks can be deceiving. you look ok as it is, but if you want that 'six pack' back then just get to the gym, its simple.
