There's a remedy for standing on your head - stand on your feet. And the answer is: the reason why your neck is straining is because it's supporting your *whole body weight -head* - and it's not meant for that.

I find I get a really bad pain in the right side of my forehead if I'm upside down for too long (even diving or on rollercoasters!) so yours could be related.

When I stand on my head I get fizzy hot blood in the back of my neck so I don't often do it anymore.

Ok, it feels fizzy.

I didn't explain that very well, did I? And I mean INSIDE my neck, in case anybody was wondering. :p:

That's what they meant. :p:

I do occasionally stand on my head though and I didn't think it was uncommon.

I dont think I can do it anymore :frown: I used to be able to when I was about 10. Lemme try....

Yeah...I can't do it. A tip: do it infront of the sofa or something, it breaks the fall.

"...didn't think it was uncommon." - yes, we all get out of bed in the morning, stand on our heads, have breakfast, stand on our heads, go to work, stand on our heads, etc etc... I even do in in Trafalgar Square! Look out for the guy standing on his head, everyone. On top of Nelson.

What I wanna ask is why when I stand on my head it feels like everything inside my neck is straining bad  why does it do this? Is it the veins under a lot of pressure or something? Its not important im just asking:biggrin:

Well... ok, it may not be as common as I'd thought. But I'm like a hyperactive 8 year old sometimes, and headstands seem like a good thing to do until my neck blood fizzes. :p:

Hehehe, I can just imagine that last part... I'd love to see that.
