its up to you really because its whatever you're comfortable with.
you shouldnt be too concerned about what other people think, because if the guy really likes you, he wont judge you on what you have or dont have.
this might sound stupid...but what is meant with 'trimming' it

d'you use scissors and just cut it down...if so how short?

If you shave it, it looks like plucked chicken. And it itches when it grows back.

i have one of those wilkinson sword quattro thingys which has a trimmer on one end and a razor on the other... i just use the trimmer on the shortest setting so its nice and neat, i don't fancy shaving it all off!
This thread is a bit ancient isn't it?
