I just came back from it - its a course which you could apply to go on from one of the earlier letters. Its a course that basically gives you a head start: learn about how uni studying will work (e.g. tips on writing essays at uni level, time management) and meeting ppl. It was good, getting to know some ppl and getting familiar with the campus and winchester town. It basically gave a taster to what uni life is gona be like.

But dont worry; ppl who didnt go arent gona miss out on that much - you'll get familiar with the campus quickly, they'll be similar study skills courses running throughout the year if ppl want it, and there's loads of ppl i still yet have to meet!

If anyone's got any questions about it - feel free to ask :smile:

Yeah, films are cool. I got a great collection, should check out sometime... I love World Cinema thesedays. Got some lovely titles from around the world... Mainly the East...

I was told you move in the day before you're s'posed to enrol to your specific area of study...

i.e. Enrol to Social Sciences on 20th. Move on 19th
Enrol to Arts on 21st. Move in 20th... AKA I move 20th... For Journalism... I got confused though because I thought I had to enrol to Psychology too, apparently I don't have to, I just turn up to psychology and I'll be down on their register etc... ???

I have an excuse for celebration on the 21st of September...

And hence I grab attention. I don't care how, or where we celebrate. Heck we could all go do the karaoke that the uni sets on that day if need be. But all I know is I got something to celebrate, and hence we can all have a knees up. I guess it'd be kinda groovy to do anyway, get to know everyone somewhat maybe...

But yeah, post ideas of what to do, where to go, how to meet. And we'll do it... Cus I got a celebration... And I reckon that's good enough reason for anything hehe :biggrin:
