It doesn't do any harm to think about it....I've written a draft P.S. already.

Although this should be in the "UCAS Personal Statements" subforum.

wow! what's with the rush? I started mine around 3 weeks before the deadline. *Thinks to himself that that's probably why his PS was crap*

Well, you can't apply until September, so what's the point in getting bothered about it now?

How weird! I sent mine off on October 14th and finished it the morning of the 14th. I don't see why it is neccessary to start it so early, would be annoying if you then got rejected 'cos of all time and effort you would have put in.

Well, I wouldn't say sad, but the level of obsession with Oxbridge entry does concern me. At this point in my L6th I had no idea where I was going to uni, although I did at least know what I was going to do.

It's too early, sent mine off on Oct 14th and had only finished it on the morning of the 14th. Seems rather desperate to start it now, would be so annoying not to have got in after writing it seven odd months before:frown:

Lol. Same with me. There was just a weekend where we werer told where to apply and that was it.

Maybe start it in the summer when you haven't exams, it's strange but those that get an offer seem to the be the least organised

I see no problem starting early - saves you rushing around the day before the deadline if you are an unorganised person like me  You wont waste any time as long as you don't actually spend the next 6 months writing it. However a lot can happen in that time ans you might want to alter you choosen course meaning you might have to significantly rewrite your ps.

I do. Its sad, should be done in the holidays. People put too much effort into getting into Oxbridge, they need to get out more.

haha, would agree with that (well it applies to me anyway)

I don't see why you shouldn't start early (although I didn't start writing rough drafts until the beginning of the autumn term) but you'll probably end up with something really different in the end

Most would be during office hours because work bores me.
