Calling all students at Exeter University!

Hey! I've just accepted Exeter as my firm offer and have been looking at the accommodation - I'm thinking of Hope Hall if I go catered and Rowe House if i go self-catered. Do you know anything about them, or have any information in general that may help?
Thanks xxxx

Just wondering, I have heard my friends saying that Exeter is abit 'red-neck'... How true is it?

And by refering to the term 'red-neck', does it include Chinese? or all the races other than the locals themselves?

Hi Gemma,

I am at Exeter Uni, I am self catered down in Duryard. I have heard that Hope Hall is one of the best catered accom. Second best there would be Mardon (which is also closer to campus).

I dont know much about Self-Catered accom accept that Lafrowda is a hole! Heard nice things about St. Germans though.

I dont know what a Red-Neck university is but all i can say is that I am loving my time here and wouldnt want to be anywhere else!

Hope Hall does seem really nice, n is very close to Streatham Court - where a lot of my time will be based (doing accounting & finance) Yeah Lafrowda looks like a hole and St. Germans doesn't seem to bad - the idea of a double bed in either Rowe House or St. Germans is quite appealing. What are you studying?

I study Computer Science, but please dont let that put you off!!

I have heard that the double beds are a lovely addition, sadly Duryard only has horrible single beds, but its more to do with the company really!

My neighbour's girlfriend lives in St. Germans so they spend most nights over there. Probably a good idea, at least i get some sleep then

I'm in Murray
where did all the exeter students suddernly come from?!?

hope is lovely..but there are a lot of slones...if thats your thing then you'll be well at home. marden is nicer (even more slones) and holland hall will be the best in september...(exclusivly availible to slones..)

no idea bout rowe house but i went to see nash grove on wed...and yes it looks nice but has the atmosphere to match that of a party on dartmoor.

ollie- lol. our entire department is now compleet!!

This may sound very stupid, but what is a slone? Is it a fresher?
