how to tell whether i guy likes you?

hi i was just wonderin how you tell whether i guy likes you?

cos i mean theres this guy in one of ma classes who keeps catching my eye and i find that he is staring at me - today he opened the door for me - when he didn't really have to :s-smilie:

i know this might sound stupid - but it's really annoying me. so guys any suggestions - or am i reading too much into it?

What I sometimes do with girls is to check whether they act the same around other guys- so for you- observe him and see if he flirts with other girls too- just to check that it's not just something he does to everyone. Once you've done that and it's not usual, then yeah, chat to him, or show some interest too and maybe wait for him to talk to you?
