Waiting for Offer from RVC

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone else has had an interview at the RVC but is now waiting a long time for an offer? My interview was back in November - as far as I understand it, some people received offers really quickly and some are still waiting even now. If anyone has any information such as when I'm likely to hear, whether the offer could only be AAA now and what my chances are of getting an offer at all, that would be great. Also, if you do A2 modules this January, do these results get sent to the unis? And will they have an influence on whether or not I get an offer? Hmm loads of questions but if anyone can help that would be brill, thanks very much.

Maybe they want to wait for all interviews before they give their decisions to the last group... I'm waiting for any news from too (they are reviewing my application). But I thought that almost all applicants that received an interview invitation received an offer as well... Anyway how did your interview go?

Yeah only something like 8 people don't get offers after interview  i've been waiting since Novemeber too!!

Theres noway they'll have made us wait this long and then give us a low offer so will almost definitly be AAA, or rejection  ! Must have done something wrong :hmmm: lol!!!

Don't think the module results get sent on but i'm not sure!!

well i haven't got an answer yet, then again my interview is on Thursday!!!
It is weird to think that some people had theirs in November and I had to wait until end of February!!
Is that really true about only 8 people interviewed and not getting an offer??? because that would be amazing!!! although knowing me I'll be part of the 8...

Well I thought my interview went quite well, I'm quite chatty and I've done loads and loads of work experience - they were really nice and encouraging at the time which is why I posted this thread - I kinda ****ed up 2 of my AS Levels and rejected the grades so there are just 2 A grades under that section, hence I was thinking perhaps they're waiting to see my module grades to check if I really am dedicated to getting good grades in the end. Woo long winded, sorry! I spose if I don't get an offer from them it's not the end of the world as I have an offer from Nottingham but I really want to go to London. I hope everyone else is getting the results they want from unis

Dont panic - I applied last year for vetmed - I had my rvc interview the 8th of december (stillremmeber!!) and I didnt get my offer until the 1st of April!! - so dont worry, they are still interviewing, and the rvc have a border-line category. In this category your offer is like;ly to be AAA, but from last years experince, people with AAA offers, were let in with AAA, AAB, ABB or in extreme cases BBB!!! So Be patient - and just dont give up on them!!

Hmm...Not entirely convinced this is true...

Yeah yeah I know, I wouldn't be too surprised!! There are sooo many places at rvc compared to other vetschools, but just getting an interview doesn't mean u'll def get an offer...unfortunately!!!

this is true but for non grads and non internationals, i think the figure for last year was out of 600 people that applied like 400 people were interviewed and only about 20 of those interviewed werent offered places. i tried to find it on the rvc's website, but it all seems to have changed since i last went on. used to be under admissions notes.

so what you're saying is that grads and internationals have a far smaller chance of getting an offer that British applicants? aww
sorry, perhaps my head isn't screwed on properly, but I don't really get it...

Grads seem to have a good chance of getting in - the 2004 figures they gave out said 19 interviews and 18 offers

It's harder to tell with internationals, since in 2004 there were 7 interviews and 48 offers!

True enough - 85 applied that year, so that's a lot less interviews / offers per application than for undergrads.

I'm not sure how relevant old figures are to grad entry this year anyway, since the way the places are allocated might be different (using undergrad places rather than having specific grad places if I understood Bristol right). Does anyone know how many grad places there actually are this year?

Hey!
I just got back from London.... the interview went really well I think! They asked me what I was doing this year but nothing like "why don't you stay in France you stupid half French person"
The interview went really fast but it was great and they asked about my personal statement and work experience... I was really impressed with the RVC!!! i definately think that I'll go there if I get a place!
