Guys - respecting a woman

To be fair to Pretty Boy... he didn't say he would have a problem with a girl doing it to HIM... just he doesn't want her to have done it to anyone else.

Just to satisfy my curiosity:

If you were having a sexual relationship with your girlfriend and you loved her, would you like her to give you oral sex, or would you lose respect for her if she did? Would you want your future wife to be someone who refused to do it because she believed it was demeaning or dirty, or would you enjoy it if she was ok with doing it and respect her just the same?

I'd be a bit pissed off if she didn't give me oral sex to tell the truth. I like nothing better. I certainly wouldn't lose respect for her.

If she refused to i'd have serious thoughts about the future of the relationship.

See, you have every right to that opinion (and it's a lot more normal than PB's). I personally don't think a woman should feel under any obligation to go down on her boyfriend/husband if she doesn't want to, but if she's fine with it, I don't understand why the guy might respect her less for it, especially if she's only doing it to give him pleasure.

But I'm willing to bet that that's because she doesn't enjoy it or doesn't feel comfortable having someone's face *down there*, rather than because she wouldn't respect a man who was willing to do that.

If a guy or a girl doesn't want to give/receive oral sex, that's entirely their choice. This thread is purely about the respect issue.

yup, me too. my entire household (7 20/21 yr old girls) is funny about it. people are missing the point, it just comes down to what men and women feel comfortable with and partners have to respect that.
