why does it have to happen to us girls???

hey there... just after some tips and advice please from any ladies who suffer from what seems complete and utter madness a few days before they are due their period.... please dont say it is me going completly doolallytap. I just find myself getting really stressed out and my boyfriend just doesnt know what to say to me apart from "calm down" which just seems to make it worse. Doesnt matter what he says or does, its not the right thing.

Any chill out advice tips greatly appreciated and very desperately needed...

Right before your period there is an influx of hormones that prepare you to ovulate. There is nothing wrong with it and it is perfectly normal. That's why there is a name for it. PMS; Pre Menstural Stress.

As for what can help try some herbal calming rememdies like lavender or echineachea.

takin the pill really helps with that

Just look him in the eye, draw back your first and punch him in the face. Right in the grill.

It'll really make you feel better.

Yes it happens, but just try to avoid your boyfriend or anyone for that matter during that time. That's what I do, and it's worked so far.

bit hard not to see my boyfriend cos we live together.... but the idea a giving him a good punch sounds brill lol.... i know they say violence is never the answer, but sometimes I swear it might work
On 'You Are What You Eat' last night she said that you need to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables (well she always says that!) but it will help PMS - try to avoid doughy foods like breads. Don't know if it works though, but the woman last night seemed a lot happier and less moody! :p:

and avoid sugar, one for the sugar rushes (a good high then a nasty low) and secondly for cramps, some people i know including myself get cramps when they've had too much sugar during the month.and if your period is late and you crave sugar, like more than 2 cans of coke in the same day, don't!

i never knew that about the sugar thingy ... i normally crave it in the form of chocolate... mmmmm chocolate :p: :p:

If it is really bad take magnesium tablets, they can help. It is absolutely normal and SO common, but I am told it gets worse as you get older!
*nods*

I was particularly bad this month. My best mate (female) instinctually knows when I've got PMS and avoids me like the plague (which makes it worse!). I was picking fights with everyone...over the stupidest things!

Guys just don't understand.
My boyfriend has learnt to put up with my tears, shouting etc. and then when he comes, he gives me a big hug and says that why you've been so off this week.

I don't really get moody? I dunno it may be my pill. I know when i wasn't on it i used to get very angry with people for no reason but now i honestly don't feel upset/emotional/angry.
