hello
my teacher have given me some data and results
and i have to found some pattern on it

Step Stairs Gap Between Totals
2 3
3 6
4 10
5 15
6 21

so its has 2 differences
i have to found nth term and also show working
so can i give some solution or answer please

You should be able to recognise that sequence. At least make some attempts - look at the differences between each one, for example.

I'll tell you that the nth term is n(n+1) / 2 because that will get you very few marks. See if you can work out why (think about the name given to this sequence).

Though I might have slightly misunderstood you ("2 differences"?); if so, I apologise.
