Favourite Quotations and Leaver's Books

I apologise if this thread has been done many times before... but just starting to think about leaver's books and other such sad collections of memories and wondering what people's favourite quotations are? I've spent far too much time googling phrases but it takes hours to find a quality quote amongst the thousands of not so good ones.

I think my favourite so far is:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine glass in the other, body thoroughly used up, and screaming WOO HOO! What a ride!"

A good one if you like (and can read) music, is "never be sharp, never be flat, always be natural" except instead of words the "be sharp", "be flat" and "be natural" are written as notes.

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.

A sympathetic Scot summed it all up very neatly in the remark, "You should make a point of trying every experience once, excepting incest and folk dancing."

Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank"and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind.
"I want you to be my Favourite Hello and your hardest goodbyes" nice 1:smile:
