Also, at Oxford, there won't be any all-female colleges when you apply - for the next application round St Hilda's are taking men.

St Hilda's is reconsidering its stance, but no decision has been made at the moment. The earliest date I have heard mentioned for any possible change is 2009 entry.

Oh, and about Christ's - I know someone with a EE offer there, and it is conditional on him taking 2 AEAs. So the idea is that with a EE offer you can focus more on challenging and independent study without worrying about perfecting A level exam technique.

Was it for history? lol.

What were his AEA conditionals for? and also what level? I would ask him, but dont really want to talk to him about it. lol
what about trinity college @ cambridge?
what are u guys's past experiences on applying to that college?

anyways, i agree with yelwalkietalkie, due to the pooling system and inter-college communication...it's likely that almost all colleges will have similar conditional demands

If you are good enough to get a conditional offer the chances are you are good enough to meet your conditional offer. Getting the offer is very much the hard part; the majority of people meet their offers but the majority of people don't even get offered places in the first place

I get the feeling you know who I'm talking about.. since you ask it is any AEAs, and he doesn't actually have to achieve anything on them, just take them!

Oh and PM me to let me know who you are, the suspense is killing me

I asked you about him ages ago, and i dont think you got my message. What a lucky bastard? Although, he'll probs get distinctions anyway.

I doubt we know each other though. I'm also not AT ALL friends with him, so...lol.

Someone i know got an EE offer from Christs for Maths, but she'd done like Maths GCSE in Year 9, and had finished Maths and Further Maths Alevel by year 11 or 12 or something and had won all these international maths awards, so...they really wanted her and give her a two EE offer, she already had her As in maths. I dont think she even got her two EEs in the end, but they still took her.

I can only think you're referring to Jenny G, who actually applied to Trinity and yes, did get her EEs (those Maths As count).

Did she apply to trinity? I thought she went for Christs. She got her As in maths, but i dont think she got her EEs - i think they were in hist and physics, and there was this whole thing going round school. I could be mistaken though.
Well, almost nobody from the IMO squad/team ever applies anywhere other than Trinity  And an EE offer is automatically fulfilled if you've done anywhere near decent in ASs. Probably a rumour
