REALLY unmotivated

Is anyone else really unmotivated at the moment? Just with college, and work and all that jazz? At the moment I could probably procrastinate for Britain! I don't know why I am feeling like this, it's just A-levels seem so tedious. It's not like i haven't got anything to look forward to, I have offers from great unis, I just can't be bothered!

Sorry, I'm whining now, but this has been going on for a few months and I prefer being happy!

why anonymous? ah heck, i'm the world's best procrastinator... anyway, just try to put things into perspective and keep in my exactly what you want. If you don't do the work...you won't get the grades...you don't get the grades...you don't get to the right uni...the chain goes on, and its scaring me :s-smilie: oh and this might seem a bit ironic, but don't stress out too much, give yourself a proper break, maybe a nice hot bath, in which you can put everything into perspective.

I'll bet that it has something to do with winter i.e. the weather, lack of daylight etc. A third of us get down at this time of the year and for some it does affect our motivation to work. Me included.

I don't why, but anon - you have just said exactly what I feel too!! I just can't be bothered to sit down and do some proper work - I wake up each day thinking "OK, today I'm going to do some work!!!" but end up getting literally NOTHING done!!!

don't worry about it, im feeling exactly the same way at the moment! I think its just A levels, seeming like there isn't a hell of a lot to look forward too! But pretty soon you'l be at uni having the most amazing time......you'll get through this period soon enough.

mights sound hippy, but, take some vitamin B pills and it gives you more energy and improves your concentration.

Completely the same. I just waste time doing nothing in front of the computer and just can't be arsed to do any work whatsoever.

I can't even be bothered to go outside, or get a job. I'm such a complainer.

hmm i think at some point we all get like that tbh, so you're not the only one! anyway, you have to be clear in your mind about what you have to do, be clear about why you have to do it, i find that on the rare occassion that i am motivated, its becasue i panic that i'm going to fail all my exams :hmmm: really wish these nightmares would stop now though!

im the same, just need a good holiday now, uni is so tiring!

Reply 11

It is only the first week back for us! No holiday for a long time! Thanks for all the advice guys, I'll almost certainly find some motivation from somewhere, preferably before the deadline for my history coursework...!

Reply 12

yip, in exactly the same state right now and its being added to by parents and teachers getting on my back about my lack of motivation. Arghhhh! I just want to leave school now and work till the summer then go to uni, thats all I need!
