Wet shaving all the way.... you are looking at a fair amount of money for a decent electric shaver to remove it all, the cheap ones tend to just be good at bumfluff, better off buying a decent razor - Mach 3 or something for example with replaceable blades... after a few days use i find the blades at their best and i have never cut myself with one of them! *Touch wood*, wet shaving gives a closer more satisfying shave too :p:
I electric shave and always have done bar one or two times when my shaver has been broken etc. I started off with a very basic boots rechargable, it might have only been single foil, I can't remember. I then moved up to a nicer Braun which was better but about 3 years ago I bought my first Philishave cool skin. You can use it wet or dry and it moisturises whilst shaving. It's fantastic...

I don't manual shave due to the hassle, sometimes I shave in the shower (wet obviously) or just use the shaver with the moisuriser dry.

Most likely, your current shaver is worn, most modern electric shavers shouldn't have any issues with all but the coarsest of hair. However, expect to pay £80+ for something worthwhile. Ebay actually has some fantastic deals for some reason on shavers (obviously I am talking brand new etc.!) knocking often up to 50% off RRP.

BTW: Last time my cool skin stopped working (well, the shaver socket I was using but didn't realise!) I went back to my first boots rechargable for a day or two and it didn't have a chance, it also left my skin sore. However, everybody is different.

Are you a girl or a boy? My advice would differ depending on sex and position of the aforementioned hairy area.
A good Phillishave should do you good. Bare in mind it does take your skin a while to 'adjust' to the new shaver (i.e. it may be sore at first).

Also "shave in a circular motion" according to the instructions.

Shave in both a circular and linear motion according to my Philishave instructions!
