I have heard something about a Families Day or Partners Day or Parents Day which happens at some point during IOT. Does anyone know anything more about this? When it takes place and what it involves?

Thanks

Snicks.

I've been told that they get your loved ones in a room and tell them how important the job you're doing is. They hope this means that said loved ones will not feel quite so bad about you joining a fighting force.

On Partners day, the other halves get shown round CHOM and OACTU and get a wee brief on what it is the guys on course are doing. Then you will get a chat from the Cmdts Wife and she tells you that you should all be bloody proud of your spouses but that a forces relationship is very hard etc etc... then there is a cocktail party where you can dress in all your finary and get leathered, in an officer like manner.
