skin problem on body

Hi,

Just before the New Year there was a spot on my leg: under my knee on the inner side (not on the back part). Looked like a normal spot on the face does - it was rather big though.

In January the top of it got very dry suddenly, and the skin started peeling off. I put some cream on it a couple of times, didn't help. The skin keeps peeling off again and again. The diameter of the actual peeling skin bit is 70 mm, and there is further 2-3 mm of reddness around it.

That's not good is it? But I thought it'll go away. Then I've found another one - it is on my back right under the bra stripe. It has had a dry centre for a couple of weeks but it doesn't peel off - I assumed it doesn't go away because my bra rubs against it all the time.

This week I've noticed 3 more spots (these are all little - 3 mm diameter max). The are a bit dry in the middle, but don't peel off or anything. One is where the belt of my trousers goes on the side, the other one 10 cm above that, and the third one on my breast!!! I am worried now.

My grandmother (who is in other country) has the remains of those all over her body, but I assumed it was the age thing. I'm scared all of my skin will be scarred too!

Has anyone had the same?

I WILL go and see the doctor as soon as I can, but just wanted to post here first. Thanks.

go to your doctor ive never really heard of that before. just because your gran is scarred doesnt mean you will be, but go to the doctor soon then you will give you a treatment and then it'll go sorted try not to panick its not going to get you anywhere (easier said than done i know)

Sounds like some kind of virus - what ever it is, its spreading to randoms part of your body, meaning its probably a blood-bourne infection, rather than a superficial one. Get it checked out, these could be the warning signs of something very nasty indeed.

Im very jumpy about skin lesures because melanoma run in my family, ive had 3 nasty looking moles taken out in the last six months.. they just appear and go dry like yours.

Go to the doctors chick, don't wait x

Maybe eczema? I've had irregular spots before that got dry and turned into rashes, and a cream I got from the doctor's made it clear up after a few months. Do get it checked out though.
