Apparently there can be cos the caffiene speeds up your heart and the alcohol slows it down. Iv never actually known anyone who has suffered though.

It's done all the time. Vodka and coke, Vodka and Red Bull, etc...
yeh if it wasn't safe i'd doubt millions of people would drink vodka red bull...or irish coffee for that matter.

Not as far as im aware. i drink silly amounts of coffee, and ive noticed any adverse effects when i go out. if im tired when im out ill have vodka and red bull. and irish coffee is soo nice! i cant drink to many though, the cream makes it a bit sickly after a while.

I know a guy who drinks glasses and glasses of the stuff (vodka and a red bull type drink) and always falls out with his girlfriend when drunk..but that's just one case!

It really isnt good for you! ive drank a can of diet coke, and then a can of red bull really fast when i hadnt eaten for ages, and i felt really ill. i find it really helps with concentration when im revising, esp if im tired.

I beleive that some underage heart attacks are induced by vodka redbull, but those people already have problems which are just made worse by the caffine and alchohol mixture. I drink it every weekend though its one of my favourite drinks, even though i know it contains nasty chemicals :smile:.
i find when i mix caffeine and alcohol i get no reaction from either, cause they seem to cancel each other pout. maybe its cause im used to it though... vodka and coke is a classic example of it!! heeheeeee

alcohol = depressant
caffeine = stimulant
one raises your heart beat, one calms you down. i heard that it is a dangerous combo

but does it make sense? it's like a balance...
mmm amaretto and bailey's
Vodka Red Bulls are benificial to hard partyers.
It's not good for you, but it's not really something to worry about.

And anyway, it's a fun combination, which has to count for something.

totaly agree with u there:smile:
i actually use them to balance my "beats per second". if i've had too much coffe, i then drink a bit o cranberrie grappa, if im getting drunk i just have a coffe and everything clears out :smile:

people should try it a bit more :wink:
I think Red Bull is bad for you in general. Oh well.

There's a pub near me that does vodbulls for £1 on a Thursday. Me and a friend ended up drinking 17 each one night. I twitched non-stop for all of Friday. It was horrible! Great night tho. I was both drunk and hyper. Woo!

Lol, how funny! :biggrin: theyre usually really expensive, about £5-£7.
As for the heart rate thing, i thought it would make sense if they cancelled each other out, but apparently your heart gets confused and doesnt know what to do, resulting in heart failure. this is really very unlikely to happen with alcohol and caffeine though.

"tim the alcohol man" [who showed a room full of girls the recovery position with his flys undone. classic] told us the red bull wears off first so when you're heading home you suddenly get depressed. or something. not sure how serious i can take that bloke
All I know is that Vodka Red Bull turns me into an absolute psycho!
