If you go abroad for going out with someone for a year, you will have to find some pretty spectacular things to do when you have been married for 25 years.

Go out for a meal or something?

a meal is not enough...

Its not what you do, how, or where. On my one year anniversary, we had a nice meal and bought eachother a present. Cant have been that bad, after nearly 4 years together we are now engaged. Keep it simple, otherwise you really will run out of things to do!

If you're dead set on getting away for a bit, then don't go abroad, because as others have said, you will seriously run out of things to do! Just go and book yourself into a 5* hotel for a couple of nights in a nice city, like London or Bath

me and my bf are long distance, so getting together for our anniversary is difficult. gonna try really hard this year! Wanna take him on a theatre break for his birthday, but they're expensive getting!

ah its mine and my bfs one year anniversary on saturday! we're going to london for the weekend. going to a gig (fun lovin criminals) on friday night and then on saturday we're touring london and going out for a meal in the evening and then possibly on to a bar! also got 2 nights in a hotel

something that i would love to have done would be to have a nice evening meal on a boat on the river thames. i looked into it and they do them for about £70 per person. however this was a bit too costly for me and my boyfriend didnt like the idea.

or you could get an evening open top bus tour of london? nice and romantic!
