The Student Room Group

I did it....

I resigned as head of KS2. I didn't resign as a teacher, but I'm fed up
with being a figurehead. I was diplomatic - pointed out that it seemed a
redundant role, as the deputy head is also a KS2 teacher. Since she gets
all the info anyway, she may as well take it over.

Question: Would the HT make a case then for reducing points? I'm also
DT, Mathematics and "Assessment" coordinator (name only on the last
one, afaik, because I hain't received much info on what I'm supposed to
do as that).

Then, Sandi, you 'hain't' Assessment Coordinator, by the sound of
it! You'd be responsible for much of the testing arrangements,
collation/analysis of scores, involved with end of target setting
etc etc etc!

However, many of the Numeracy Coordinators I know have at least one
Management point. - if the school has the money to award one so you may
still be able to fight your case on this stance.

Have you not just removed your own nose to spite your face? rosie

A brave move. I hope you are treated fairly, Sandi.
