yea i got rejected too. My BMAT is 18.6 and managed to get an interview but they obviously didnt like me :frown: and whats worse i thought i didnt do too badly in the interview - in fact i managed to bring up soo many interesting stuff but i think i came across as over-confident when im probably the least confident person you can find! i was really confused..but managed to get over it all...

Good luck with ur other applications xx

RUMS use the BMAT as an absolute filter. You don't meet their cut off, they don't interview you.
I didn't meet the BMAT cutoff but I got an interview and an offer. So it can be done.

what did u get in the BMAT Featherflare? how do u know ur didnt meet the cutoff?
I assumed the cutoff you meant was the 'over 19' as it is the only one that is openly endorsed. Many people do get interviews and offers with scores below 19 (even scores very far below it). I myself got 18.6

Wow! You must have had an amazing application form. My friend interviews for RUMS (staff, not student), and said that you could count people interviewed despite naff BMAT scores on one hand. Well done you!
Yeah, count me in the rejected group. Only one more rejection to go; can't wait. No interviews yet.

hey yeah me too, don't totally think the BMAT is the be all and end all, i think your application is more important, i did really badly in my BMAT got something like 12 i think! but they interviewed me pretty early in novemember. I think doing one non science a level really helped though, as they specifically talked about it in the interview and it says on their website it is an advantage so if you want to go there, then my advice is do that. anyway good luck you guys!

dont wanna sound rude but are u serious that u got 12 on ur BMAT and got a UCL interview or are u just trying to give false hope to other peeps? im doing A2's in chem, bio, maths and history, so i really dont understand what's going on! i e-mailed them asking for feedback last week but they havent replied :-(

what did u get on each section of the BMAT then?

Hey sorry to be loitering in the wrong thread but I was wondering - what sort of CSE and AS grades did you guys get? It seems like these admissions tutors are really harsh! I'm all scared now..:frown:

Hey all, i doubt that there is an ABSOLUTE cut off, with no disrespect to your sources fluffy...

I have an interview on the 9th of march and i got 16.4 in the BMAT...

4A*s n 7As at GCSE n 5 As at AS.....

unless of course i'm one of the handful of people interview with a 'naff' BMAT score!

Anyway even if they accidentaly gave me an interview (which i think is probable) i dont care, im really glad someone messed up and they gave me the opportunity to show them the real me and not just the 47 lines of me that they know so far....

Just thought i'd add my 2 pence...

hey now i was being truthfull, although i have just pulled out my results sheet, and it wasnt quite that bad, i got 16.9 sorry if that annoys you although that still is quite a bad score, i wasnt purposefully trying to exagurate it. but i did get 3.7 on the science section which is appalling! (cant spell)
anyway i was just trying to help spread some well needed, (but not unfounded) hope.

I got 14.3 on my BMAT in 2005, and got an interview at UCL... but back in those days () They did it based only on the science scores, which is where I did better...
