In case you're not aware of it, OCR have created a free online textbook for their AS students (an A2 version is due September 2012).

It covers the whole course - every topic and everything mentioned in the Specification.

If your teacher is not aware of its availability, they can find out how to access it here: http://www.ocr.org.uk/qualifications...ac=hmeb_130711

AQA students can also access the ebook (through their teachers) but since it's aimed at OCR there are some Spec. differences (although a lot of the information is relevant to the AQA Spec.)

I found this post 6 godamn years after the guy posted it. 6 years too late. Looking for the A2 book though.
