1. Draw a triangle with sides 3, 4 and 5 and inside draw the largest square that will fit. What is the area of the triangle and the area of the square?????
2. is it a 90 degrees triangle or amy shaped triangle?
3. a triangle with sides 3,4,5 is a right-angle triangle: so the area = 6

see attachment:

u know that the area of the 2 triangles and the square = the area of the large triangle:
so:
6 = x² + ½ . x . (3-x) + ½ . x . (4-x)
6 = x² + 3/2 x - ½x² + 2x - ½x²
6 = 7/2 x
x = 12/7

max area of the square = (12/7)²
