Do you mean shisha? It's a flavoured tobacco so yes, it is addictive. Never tried it myself.

oh okay it's shisha. I kinda figured it was addictive because my ex was going on about how he NEEDED it and when I said that he didn't, he said "oh yes I do". is it HIGHLY addictive?

my brother smokes this, as do alot of his friends. as far as im aware it isnt that damaging to the health, doesnt conatin the tar etc that fags do. its somked through a hookah thing, which is quite large. i wouldnt have said this habit is any worse than smoking, which is legal, as is shisha.

http://www.shisha.co.uk/faqs.htm - take a look at this website, it all looks fairly harmless to me.

he's a person who doesn't like to take orders. I told him he shouldn't. his bestie swore when I told his bestie he smoked shisha

Shisha apparently is as bad as a whole packet of cigs. You can smoke it everywhere in this country. I even own one. your not supposed to do it often because as it does contain tabacco it can be addictive. yea it doesnt really harm your teeth. also its not used as a stress releaser, like cigs are, so you wont get addicted to that habbit. to be honest it just sounds like your boyfriend tries to sound cool cuz its a rare thing in your country i would guess.

To be fair, he is your ex. I suggest you leave him to it - his life, his body to screw around with

dunno, I find it boring cuz im used to it and ive never heard someone make such an effort to make it know they need it so much. everytime i hear people talk loudly about something it means they think its cool.

I didnt say london! when did i say london? i dont live in london, but i didnt say london...the girl in question seems to be from japan and seems to not have heard of shisha so i thought it might be rare...y would some bloke boste about it if its something commen?
Only two kind of people smoke Shisha.

People who do it to chill out with friends. These people usually don't smoke anything else, and only do Shisha like once a fortnight as a chill out.

And smackheads.

You can decide which one your boyfriend is.

He mentioned it to his girlfriend a couple of times. I presume they spend quite a lot of time together, so it doesn't sound like "such an effort" to me.
Trying to play cool and subtly drop in that you do it on a forum not just read by one person you're close to, but many many strangers on the other hand....

Ironic.
hmm tbink ive seen this stuff...or maybe not. do you put weed in it? i'm sure people i know were smonking pina colada flavoured roll ups.. :s: *confused*

What? It's not rare in this country. Where I live, there are at least three shisha 'cafes', and many people do it. Mind you, it is a high Muslim population here...
Yeah its a habit that originated from the middle east.

I've tried it on several occasions and found it to be nothing like cigarettes. I haven't become addicted to it nor do I get a head rush when I smoke it.

It doesn't necessarily have tobacco in it- my friend puts coconut in it, and smokes that when it burns.
