Rejected for Lincoln College, French. I feel that the process was strongly biased in favour of private school applicants: I had to coach myself on most of the grammar (not taught on my course), and read all the literature myself (also not taught, nor any advice given)...I was rejected for Law from Lincoln College, Oxford.
In fact, I talked to all the law applicants, so if you came to interview you've probably seen me before.
I chose UCL because I feel it's not a place for Oxbridge rejects in the same way as say Durham is.
How do unis decide who goes where?
