Silly technical calculator queston! watch

    I am ment to know this, but for some reason my minds gone blank.

    SO how do i obtain the varience from my calculator once i've put the numbers in?
    I have a Casio fx-83WA calculator, and yes i have tried google.

    Quick answers appreciated (hurridly doing S3 homework), and my pathetic rep will be recieved!!

    hmm are you sure? I'm sure i recall my teacher showing us how to do it on both calculators (new and my old one), but seeing as i obviously wasnt listening....

    Gar thats annoying.

    Ah just found a link to the manual, looks like your right, damn thats annoying.

    Wait...so how do i calculate varience?? I can't do it manually because it will take too long. Can i get the sum of x^2 etc?

    mean of the squares minus the square of the mean is what my teacher used to say

    Yea i know that, i just cant put it it like that on my calculator becasue the numbers are too long, and i need the varience to calculate the error of sample mean.

    Dont worry i've figured out how do to it now, thanks for the help anyway!!!
