Announcements
1. I am ment to know this, but for some reason my minds gone blank.

SO how do i obtain the varience from my calculator once i've put the numbers in?
I have a Casio fx-83WA calculator, and yes i have tried google.

Quick answers appreciated (hurridly doing S3 homework), and my pathetic rep will be recieved!!

Anyone ?
2. i wasnt aware that that model calculated variance.
3. hmm are you sure? I'm sure i recall my teacher showing us how to do it on both calculators (new and my old one), but seeing as i obviously wasnt listening....

Gar thats annoying.

Ah just found a link to the manual, looks like your right, damn thats annoying.
4. Wait...so how do i calculate varience?? I can't do it manually because it will take too long. Can i get the sum of x^2 etc?

mean of the squares minus the square of the mean is what my teacher used to say
6. Yea i know that, i just cant put it it like that on my calculator becasue the numbers are too long, and i need the varience to calculate the error of sample mean.

Dont worry i've figured out how do to it now, thanks for the help anyway!!!

(do you want my pathetic rep?)
