Tired...

Just wondered whether anyone has had the same experiences as me... Just recently I seem to be tired all the time, everyone is always telling me I look tired.

I've tried lots of sleep, little sleep and the 8hrs, but nothing seems to make a difference.

Also, I find I get these really painful headaches, not for very long, but several times a day...

Any idea what's wrong with me?
You might have an iron deficiency. Are you a vegetarian or anything? I would advise you to go to the doctor and get an appointment for a blood test or something.
vitamin deficiency maybe? what are you eating?

Might be worth seeing your gp, bad headaches arent a good thing!

Try something warm and milky tonight, might help
The above advice is good but you may also be going to bed too late. Try going to bed early and getting up at a reasonable time and see if that helps as well. Seriously, it may help, certainly helped me.

Is the pain on the left or right side of your head?

Might be migraines, which can be caused by stress. If the pain is on your left side, you should go speak to your GP and stress it is on your left side.

Also, do you suffer from balance problems as well?

I never really noticed what side the pain is on... the headaches don't tend to stick to one side / or one place.

Balance problems - only when drunk  , no, in all seriousness no not really.

Why is the left side so important?

Thanks, I will try that this week; although I am never normally late to bed, normally between 9 and 10pm

Thanks I will. Probably should go and see the Doc too. As for eating, I am not eating anything different to usual... Hmm...

If it is the left side, then it is normally a migraine and maybe write it down next time as to which side of the head it is on; migraines are different, but I have migraine variant because of the stress from working at a bank for 5 years. Not the best thing in the world to have, but GP's know little about migraines and if the pain is on your left side, you will need to speak to your GP to be able to go further or have scans done in case it is a tumour (which was thought I had at first).

My balance is off, but it is good some days and others I have trouble walking and looking like I had a few too many to drink, so it aint fun. On the other hand I don't have a tumour, so just have to make adjustments to my life a bit so I watch myself at certain times. Stress is the main killer, but after a couple years now I have been able to get it under control most of the time.

Tiredness and headaches can be a sign of dehydration. Make sure you drink at least one and a half litres of water a day. It'll make a surprising difference. I was headachhey all day yesterday then realised it wasn't pills i needed, just liquid. Not tea or coffee tho unless decaff.
Could it be a bug? I've been having similar recently (within the last week or 2), maybe not quite as bad, but feeling really tired despite adequate sleep, asn the same amount of sleep as normal, possibly more (and no, this is not too much, as due to my bad work habits I was averaging 5 hours a night not so long ago!). But I did have random headaches that came and went; and as I said, I think it was/is a bug because I haven't changed my (admittedly really bad) habits, it just came on suddenly and other people here have had similar things. If it's of any use I might add that I'm not anaemic as I gave blood fairly recently.
