Carnegie village is right on Headingley campus so that has its advantages although Opal probably has the better social life due to the amount of students

Literally a 15 - 20 Minute walk not too long at all also bus services there as well
Hi everyone, my course is based up on the headingley campus but I can't decide which halls to live in. Mill street and opal are my favourites but then they're further away in comparison to Kirkstall brewary but there are no en-suite rooms left there. I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me any advice on which is best because personally I don't think I'm that bothered about getting a 30minute bus to headingley.
Mill Street and Opal are both far from Headingley Campus, either way, you're getting a bus. Go for Mill Street if you're okay with sharing rooms. Theres usually a 2 girl to 3 boy ratio in each room, girls bathroom, lads one, simple. Mill Street is a lot cheaper than Opal and people who stayed there have been here and said it's just, if not a lot nicer than opal.

Thanks

Scott

I've chosen concept place, it's literally across the road from opal 1/2.. Private accom, but been to visit and the rooms are nice, 3/4 sized bed and en suite, very 'homely' feel to the place as opposed to the plaza etc.
Anyway, doing sports coaching at headingley come sept! x

youve probably done it by now, but have you looked at iQ? its close to sugarwell but its private so wont show on met website, i went to look round and its really nice, double bed en suite ''luxury student accommodation'' they call it, something like 99 a week, personally i went for sugarwell cos when i looked round it had a really homely feel and seemed really sociable, rooms arent as nice, single beds and less modern bathroom but its comfortable and same sized rooms. I fancied kirkstall but needed an en suite, couldnt be botheres with living in city centre cos of one ways etc, im taking my car!

That's awesome, I'm sure I will after a lot of dead ends and wrong turns. It's a nice place sugarwell, was originally going for kirtstall but no en suites left, should be good though, how long is your course then? and is September 2012 going to be your first year?
Just put down my deposit for Kirkstall, I wanted an en-suite but there wasn't an option for it :-/
Am I supposed to have recieved an email of some confirmation for my deposit? Because I just ended up on some website :-/
