you shouldnt have to lie! Tell him you didnt manage it because thats normal. If you cant be honest about it, then you shouldnt be doing it. Thats just my opinion.

Usually its obvious if a girl has a real orgasm, we can definitely feel it most of the time, but guys like to check anyway. And sometimes we like to believe it might have happened even when we didnt feel it happening... But I think that a lot of guys can guess on some level if your lying to them or faking, unless you are their first or they have had no real experience of the female orgasm.

Its possible a good actress could do it, if she acted with her whole body as well as her voice, and I suppose you cannot always feel the waves of orgasmic contractions that distinctly in the heat of the moment.

Anyway, why not just tell your boyfriend that you can't always, but that that's ok? It's better to be honest, and any guy who isn't a moron will be able to accept the fact that it's not always easy for girls, and it doesn't threaten his manliness or something...
