leeds royal park flats

If any of you newcomers for next year are considering moving into the Royal Park Flats in Hyde Park, read closely.

I'm not going to be nasty about these halls as they are the perfect location for any newcomer in Leeds as far as halls are concerned. Fair doe's, its proper in the ghetto, but its awesome! I mean, you have everything you need on your doorstep...takeaways, veggie shop (cheap), international supermarket (magical), the pub which is located right behind you as is the brudenell social club which puts on numerous gigs,Hyde Park cinema (fantastical), newsagents...you name it, its on your doorstep. It's proper boho central location-wise.
But the flats themselves, oh maaaan!
I'm in the back block, the Art block basically. It's amazing for holding parties, etc. But Unipol are just taking us for a ride money-wise. Most rooms have shoddy windows which lets wind in, whenever you need something fixing and fill in a complaints form, they make you wait 4 months before sorting it out.
In the past 2 months, our flat has been burgled 3 times. What are Unipol doing about it? naff all. They are'nt even going to fit in a security camera at the back. THEY ARE DESPICABLE. Twice the flat was robbed when we were IN! Just because the windows are rotten and they can pull them open.
So yeah basically. If anyone is considering these flats, ask for a room that ISN'T on the ground floor, and you'l be safe.

ah, well i've already decided i want to be in liberty park.
I've applied for Leeds met and will be studying at Headingly campus if I get the grades. You describe it as ghetto, but the website describes it as a student area, but anyway rough Areas don't really bother me too much.

Roughly How far is it from the city centre? as thats what I'm looking for is a lively place near the city.

Its between Royal park and Mill street so far.
What do u reckon to mill street? i saw that on the unipol website and they look really nice, do u know if it is far from the college of art and design?
