Right, I have been on the pill for about a year now. In September I have to go abroad for my course and I'm just wondering is there any chance of the doctor prescribing me a load of pills so I won't have to go to the doctor over there or will I just have to practise asking for the pill in French/Italian and have to pay a LOT for them.... I don't want to stop taking it. It's been a godsend this past year.
Well, I know that in France particularly, medicine is very expensive. Dunno about the pill though. I'm just worried! I don't want to have to stop taking it!!
If you explain the situation to your doctor they will usually provide you with a longer repeat prescripition. I of people that have being given a years worth at once. As long as you have know other problems such as high blood pressure the doctor should be happy to do this.
Yay! Thanks guys that has put me at ease. Realistically I don't need to worry about this until next term but I'm relieved it's not unheard of. I've had no problems with this pill so hopefully it will all be ok.
my doctor told me if you have been on it for a reasonable amount of time (a year or more should be fine) then they can prescribe up to a year's worth, ie 12 packets at a time. i asked for the same reason! cant be doing with that in france on top of everything else!
can i just ask, is the pill a free contraceptive for anyone in this country? I get it free coz im in education, but i was just wondering for in future.
