Yes, make an appointment.

They may need to remould your retainers so they fit better, as your teeth really shouldn't be moving if you're being disciplined with the retainers.

You might also want to ask them for a permanent bonded retainer, which is basically a wire put behind your teeth to stop your teeth from moving back.

Obviously, this would be easier if you were going to a private Orthodontist - I don't know what the NHS are like for braces as I've only ever had private Ortho work done...
You're sucking on something. Your tongue in your mouth stops your lips from pushing your teeth backwards. If you suck on something alot, ie a bottle, your teeth bend back.
But yeah, see an orthadontist.
I had my braces taken off in 2003, but unlike you I was less disciplined with my retainers and stopped wearing them after a year. My teeth aren't in brace condition anymore, with one tooth starting to twist slightly, but they are definitely much better than they were before, and are still straight.
You could make a new appointment just to get new retainers and to have a slight check up on your teeth, but I would say that this is entirely normal. My orthodontist warned me that my teeth would move a bit after my brace came off.
You could also do what one of my friends did and have a piece of wire attached round the back of your teeth. Its very small and almost unnoticeable but keeps your teeth straight for the rest of your life. I think she had it done privately but I'm pretty sure it's not too expensive. You might want to check it against how much replacing your retainer will cost.

Thanks. I've made an appointment at the othodontist on 24th Feb, so I'll ask for a permanant brace

I went a month without anybody knowing I had train tracks on, and that was only because I told them. People don't suspect what they have no reason to suspect.

My friend got braces last Monday, and most people didn't notice. Those who did thought she had had them a year!

Yes there is but I think its only done privately for adults, its basically like a clear mould that goes over your teeth which can be removed to eat or brush your teeth. Its very expensive though, I was quoted ÂŁ4000-ÂŁ5000 by one dentist.

I had train track braces when I was at school and they really arent that bad- so many people have them these days that no one will notice.

Yeah, i made a thread about this the other day, cuz they took my wire off only five months after having my braces removed and now they've started to move back, despite wearing my retainer. Still totally completly pissed off about it. ARGH!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but is this also given for usage as a retainer?
I have been wearing a clear plastic mould after my braces were taken off, by the NHS.
