Heel blister

I managed to get a blister on my heel last Tuesday by walking a lot in slightly small shoes. It's been getting better and scabbing over a bit, but keeps sticking to my socks, as I walk to work everyday it's not the easiest of things to keep aerated. I had to soak my sock to get it off tonight; just wondering what the easiest way to heal this thing will be, given my walking everywhere, and whether it is possible it could get infected.
