After the attack on the Shiite mosque, the situation in Iraq has gotten out of hand. Is it really possible for Iraq to normalise and have a sustainable democracy or is Iraq heading towards an inevitable civil war which would change the middle-east and the the wider world forever.

In the event of an all out civil war, Shiites from Iran and other countries and Sunnis from Jordan, Arabia and etc will certainly participate, and Iraq would become the stage where Sunnis and Shiites engage in probably the most violent conflict since WW2.

Western countries such as the US, UK, France, Turkey etc would probably intervene because they have a lot to gain from a peaceful Iraq.

Also, i know it is a rather heartless to suggest this at this time of such incredible human tragedy, but imagine what will happen to oil prices.
