Do you have a temper?

Do you have a temper?

I'm just wondering whether other users have a temper, because I don't seem to have one?

Recently, I've been involved in a few major arguments and falling outs - things that should make me very angry. I was also treated really badly by a former friend. I've had arguments with these people, but I've never been really angry. By that, I mean so angry that I can't control myself - I've always been able to keep my temper.

Am I weird?

I laugh at people who get angry with me.
I voted yes, although it's just become apparent recently...I always used to be able to control myself, but a little while ago I had a row with my boyfriend and threw a paddy, chucking his washing basket at his bookcase

I have a bad temper.

I used to be very easy going. Maybe your temper will mature :p:

I'm pretty calm - it takes a LOT to get me worked up, and even then, it's generally an accumulation of loads of things, rather than one problem. I don't ever really argue with people either.

But how about when you get angry at people...?
Same here. I'm suddenly very easy to wind-up. But that could be to do with the situation at college... In any case, do you mean a temper as in getting angry, or as in getting violent? Cos I get mad, but no-one really notices.

I love to prove myself right and i dont give the other person an easy ride when we're having a discussion/argument.

I do get a bad temper when someone is trying to persuade me to do something i dont want to do, or they're telling me something that i know for a fact is wrong.

That may be the same for me too. Occassionally, I feel that I'm going to get really angry and 'explode' very soon, but it never happens.

I mean angry.
Only if someone disagrees with me or says no.

I usually don't, I'm apathetic about most things.

For me it depends what's going on. Some things I seem to be able to tolerate indefinately, others take a while to make me detonate.

Exactly - but when I do get angry, people know it! :p: My best friend has a scar on her wrist from one fight we had!
I tried to beat my brother up with a wooden chair once, another time I threatened him with a cricket bat but apart from that my tempers pretty controlable

I don't think I've ever got really pissed off with anyone, EXCEPT for a few weeks ago when I threw a fish (very hard, I think it hurt him quite alot) at a housemate because he told me to shut up. Which is the first time anything like that has happened since I was about 13.

I used to have an awful temper, but I'm far more laid back now - however if I do lose my temper it is apparently frightening and suprising, it must be the way I shout or conduct myself, since I very very rarely hit anyone (apart from a push), but if I lose my temper, I will have an overwhelming sense of extreme guilt and questioning of my actions even if I was justified in them. (E.g. if I lost my temper with a bully I would still feel guilty).
Problem with your poll is there is nothing in between the extremes. I sometimes have a bad temper when someone injures or hurts a good friend of mine, and when my computer fricks up, but otherwise I'm really laid back and couldn't give a monkeys.

As for fights, I use restraints and pressure points to get the fight over with ASAP, that way I can show my opponant I may be small but I can fight back. Plus I don't like wasting energy :p:

I get angry with my family alot, but not so much with my friends. I used to have huge temper tantrums when i was younger...but definitely more controlled and happier now

Would you like to tell me these pressure points...?
