Ok, as far as I see you have asked this question three times now in this forum.... and although it would be the best thing to just phone SOAS and ask them you could also have a look at their prospectus.... it would tell you that it is pretty improbable for you to be accepted with BBB as their standard offer is AAB for Politics and Development Studies/Economics and AAA for BA Politics or BA Politics and all other subjects.....
I got an offer for Politics and Chinese and although I am doing the German Abitur the offer pretty much equals AAA-AAB

Sorry to tell you this but I think it is better to tell you right away what your chances are. However I would just call them, as they are the ones who really know exactly how to treat your case

I would just email the admission tutor for politics.... because the one giving admission to the course will surely know the requirements. I guess after SOAS changed some of the entry requirements there might be some confusion about them in the main admissions office, which could be the reason why you got different answers

"SOAS rises to 9th in Good University Guide

25 April 2008
SOAS receives a major boost, as it jumps to a ranking of nine in the 2009 Good University Guide -- 15 places ahead of its ranking in the 2008 league table. Results were published in Thursday, 24 April edition of The Independent. SOAS was ranked fourth in London.

In London the impressive performance of the School of Oriental and African Studies - more often known as SOAS - will not go unnoticed: a leap of 15 places means that it is now among the top 10 universities nationwide, thanks mainly to its superb teaching ratio of just 10 students for every member of staff, coupled with a lot of investment in academic services.

For details on the league table, visit the Good University Guide. "
