not even started yet. :}

(still not started).

STILL. NOT. STARTED. DAY 12 OF HOLIDAY. GO LIFE. (What that actually means is playing Gears of War 3 all day, going to sleep at 5 AM, and not very occasionally going into civilisation to socialise).

6-7 is kinda understandable for gcse for some as it's there first set of summer exams so the few who are really motivated/determined would spend 6-7 hours lool

I'm doing a-levels so im trying to keep up 5 hours plus a day, just gotta keep in mind those letters on a sheet in August shape up your future....

WOW see i had the mentality that i only need to revise 4 hours a day and thats enough :frown: i guess i should be revising a lot more hours then

i think the most ive ever revised was possibly 6 hours and that was a normal school day loooool from 9 till 3
None so far, just been finishing off homework then I'll look at proper revision in a week or so. I don't like starting early as I don't do it sincerely if the exams seem far away and therefore it isn't effective.

lol but the exams are like 6/7 weeks away mate. chill out hahah an hour or 2 a day will do for now. i'd say 3 weeks before the exams is where you bring out the excessive revision hours e.g 4 hours a day along side the revision you will be doing at college in ur class and weekends doing about 5 hours.

should be doing around 8, but there are no beaks around to check on us so we do around 3 here in our dorm (the hopgardens)

not everyone wants C's and D's.

well you must be a social outcast then. 8 hours of independent revision wtf lol you dnt need to do that much to achieve A's and B's ..... my brother did 3 hours a day independent revision and he got AAA and is now studying MEng electronic engineering at southampton .....

I'm either, on the toilet, eating, at the gym, sleeping or revising. That's pretty much what I've been doing and will be doing over the holidays.

Well so far I've only done like 3 hours of proper revision, and sadly I've been procrastinating for the rest of the day. :colondollar:

But I work better at night, so I shall do an extra hour now before going to sleep, and hopefully it's enough.

nope.

I do 5 traditional A-levels, and at our school getting below an A is really really out of place. We all aim for 95+ UMS.

getting AAA isn't a problem, anyone that is decently intelligent can do that with 3 hours. what were his UMS scores?

im not sure about his ums, i will ask him. what college do you go to lol? eton? ;p i do admire your passion for your studies though. goodluck with your exams in may/june :smile:

Honestly? 1-2 hours a day, on a good day. Plenty of days with none. It's nearly 2 months til my first exam (31st may), motivation levels aren't that high. I'm too lazy to write proper revision notes, but I've started on chemistry formulae and definitions. You can't start past papers yet (or that's what I tell myself) or you'll have run out by exam time! I will start on further maths papers soon though, because I rekcon I'll need to go through them all twice to have any hope of a decent mark!
