well you could do because fat content is what makes you gain wait. Different food substances contain different amounts of energy content, and are burned up in different amounts so what you eat effects how you use that energy and how it is stored!
It depends entirely on what the calories enter your body as, and to what they are stored as. If you eat the same calorie wise of an apple, and of a block of lard, the lard would be stored as fat, and the calories of the apple, because they are carbohydrates, would be stored as glycogen.
