Hmmmm... When I think Italian girl, I think...

two categories for appearance: 1. really graceful, long curly brunette hair, prominent features.
2. really hairy all over, podgy, monobrow.

I also imagine that they are very chatty, talk very fast, are very direct/straight-talking, confident, maybe a bit strict/stern, but disciplined, good work ethic and great taste in food!

That's my stereotype.

Haha, my boyfriend is Italian! From what I've seen of his friends, they seem really chatty and fun, up for a good time and confident. My boyfriend says that Italian girls are really hard to pull though, which is why he liked it when he came to England because apparently you have to work really hard to get an Italian girl to dance/go out on a date/ kiss you, whereas here it's easy.

I prefer French :-), but yes many of Italian girls are quite smart and attractive...

The stereotypes I'm familiar with depends a lot on where in Italy you're from.
The ones associated with NORTH Italy would be;
- stylish and fashion-forward, chatty and intense when speaking, hard-working
Stylish is obviously a stereotype on those from Milan, and I find it to often be true
For South Italians:
- Family-oriented, loud, hairy, lazy

Really interesting  go ahead! In the end I will reveal you "which kind" of Italian girl I am

Passionate, dark complexion (in a good way), good conversation, open-minded, spontaneous.

Reply 8

I love Italian girls! Most of the ones I've met were pretty, made good conversation, very spontaneous and quite nice

Italian girls are sexy, but then compared to British girls even blow up dolls seem to be more intelligent, interesting, better looking and better at holding a conversation!

So basically your boyfriend said that you're easy? Greaaaaaaaat.

I'm half Italian, on my fathers side. The most common stereotypes are that I am a good cook (wrong). Guys also presume that my dad is part of a Mafia (wrong) and that he will kill them if they hurt me or make me cry etc (true)

Italian women are no Belarusian, Romanian, Russian or Ukrainian women. If you are hot it makes no difference although that said I prefer the women of the FSU

I too get this, I say I'm half Italian (to stop people being baffled over having blonde hair and an irish accent) even though I was born there and lived for a few years

Haha my Dad's Italian too, and my male friends used to be terrified of him, mostly because he said I'd be in huge trouble if I got a boyfriend so i hid a relationship for a year :L luckily he said he was joking.
Oh but I do like cooking!

Yeah I have blonde hair too!

All my boyfriends always ask if my dads going to leave a horses head in their bed. He probably would if they were really horrible to be fair

Boyfriends are always super scared to meet my dad.

To be honest he can be brutal. I remember when my eldest sister was 16 she was going out with some 24 year old guy (much to my father's disapproval) and basically long story short he pressured her into sex and the dumped her. And my dad heard him bragging about it in the pub, and knocked seven shades of s*** out the guy haha.

Right well I've lived in Italy for 12 years so I'm a bit of an expert (I'm an expat) Well, Italian girls are most definitely hard to get. You have to put loads of effort into even getting a chance at an Italian girl. they are generally very very chatty, friendly and loud. However I know quite a few that are very stubborn if not downright bitchy at times.
when it comes to them physically, they tend to be brunettes and short (I'm thinking around 5ft6" that is short for me at least  )
