p.s do you think it helps if you are doing physics aswell ?? by any chance

Is that supposed to be rhetorical question?
The answer is yes it does.

As a part of F.Maths (AS) I've done M1, and I am currently studying M2.
I thought M1 was quite straight-forward, but I'm finding M2 fairly difficult. Altough both modules mainly involve substituting into formula, M2 definitely requires more thinking.
Doing Physics definitely helps. I don't do physics, but the rest of my class do, and are finding M2 relatively easy - a lot of the work of resolving forces, hooke's law etc. is covered in the Physics syllabus.

i found M1 and M2 fairly simple as the exam questions are pretty much exactly the same as previous years apart from some new values.

i messed up a moments question in the M1 paper so i scored lower

i found M2 difficult when doing exercises but the exercises contain stuff that is harder than what comes up in exam papers.

I think mechanics helps you with the physics, as not a lot of the physics i did at A level was about projectiles etc.

At the beginning of year 12 I did M1 and M2 and for the first half term I struggled against the rest of the class who took physics (because we were skimming over stuff they had covered in physics without giving me proper absortion time) so much so I dropped Biology and took Physics. Really should have dropped Chemistry though.

Well I did M1 last yr and am now doing M2.
Too be honest there are some parts which are in M2 that far easier than stuff in M1.
Only bits on power, projectiles and collisions help you.But you gotta admit some help is better than no help eh!
