It just seems odd to me that some girls just shower once a day when they are on their period.

Only once a day, why would I need to shower more?

or, you just put your head over the bath, wash your hair, then use a flannel for other parts... :P

Whenever I go out/for a run/sweat. If I'm on school holiday and I've not been out in days then I have to shower otherwise I'd feel icky, especially when it is my time

Don't understand how multiple showers is going to get the area any more clean than when I use wet wipes + tissue every few hours.

Simply because when you are on your period, you need to freshen up regularly or else you could end up smelling.

    Same.

I wonder how some girls don't get this icky feeling. It's not a nice feeling.

And if you wash your vagina 4275439087345 times a day you will end up smelling anyway. There is such a thing as over-washing "down there" you know.

To answer the question : once a day, and I use baby wipes when I use the toilet.

Does the shower water not get all bloody?

Surely if you use tampons/mooncup then you're no "dirtier" than you would be if you weren't on? So I still shower once a day.

This, especially if you're using tampons/menstrual cups.

Did you just make this thread to tell other girls they're weird for not showering as often as you...

Not really. Especially if a tampon is used so no embarrassing blood stains happen on towels afterwards.

OP different people have different ways with dealing with being on. Personally I just clean up regularly when going to the loo.

Just once a day like usual o.O The blood comes more or less constantly so within minutes of you getting out the shower you won't be clean down there anymore anyway (unless you use tampons, in which case you'd be no dirtier than usual).
