Accomodation over summer

Hi
I am looking for a room in town between July and September, I noticed that most only offer annual or 6 months let. I tried some of the sites mentioned in the sticky thread but not that helpful.

Any idea where and how to find one?
I was also thinking since many students will be leaving over the summer, maybe some won't mind renting theirs while they are away?

Yeah, there's nomally a load of posters and whatever which go up a bit later on in the year, people trying to rent their rooms for the next couple of months. I think normally you can stay on campus in one college's accommodation too, if you're desperate!
