I went to the Reebok Stadium last year for Chelsea v Bolton and I will never return, it was a rainy sunday and just the thought of the Reebok Stadium again makes me sick, the area is just a massive retail park, league 2 grounds have more character.

yeah but it is better than it being in the middle of no where.
Upton Park.

in fairness it has to be the easiest ground to get to, as soon as you get off the train it's there.

thank you.
Technically Wembley FC. Can't beleive that the away fans are put with the home fans. Yes, there's only like 2-300 people there; but some (Wealdstone) fans are still bloody awful.

Guess that's just a financial thing unfortunately.

Millennium stadium cardiff
Sheff utd - wooden seats that fall off.
Wolves - very tight getting in and you get pelted with coins from above
Leicester when it was filbert street was quite bad.

The emirates was a mixed bag, very easy to in/out of the stadium and get a beer/burger. There was no atmosphere though and we were kept waiting in the street for nearly an hour after.

OH DEAR! cannot believe I forgot the Ricoh Arena (Coventry) Middle of nowhere and literally no atmosphere.

Wigan. Awful fans. Boring stadium. Middle of nowhere.

Only positive is the large allocation for away fans

Worst in terms of view has to be the Cherry Red Records Stadium, Kingsmeadow. It is impossible to get a good view unless you stand in a section that doesn't have a roof. And even then it is awful.

(I'm a home fan but we all stand in the same section of the East Stand)

COYD!

Fratton Park for me. The walls outside smelt of piss, and the away end didn't have a roof. Luckily when I went, it was sunshine, but I've heard reports of others getting soaked.

Goodison Park, I'd have to criticise. I'm not having a go at Everton - great club, and Moyes a great manager. It's even a nice ground...but the away section is horrible. Not proper seats, just a long wooden bench. I went in I think it was maybe 2006/2007, so if it's changed now this comment is no longer valid.

St James' Park is great, but it's hard to navigate. As a 15 year old that got the coach up years ago, I was 30 seconds away from missing it and having to spend a night in Newcastle with no money and cross parents. Needs better sign posting and easier access for away fans.
Goodison Park is fantastic. Old grounds like that really are a rare breed, they have real character and say something about the football club they belong to. There's always a good atmosphere when you go as well, which the shape of the ground facilitates. The home fans in the end adjacent to the away section give you a lot of banter, which is always fun. The wooden seats are still there but away fans should stand anyway.

As for the restricted views, it's traditional. Would you rather be at Goodison with a goal slightly obscured (in the seated position, no different if you stand) and a rocking atmosphere or a half empty Ricoh Arena with tumbleweed but a good view?

In fact, the Ricoh is basically everything that's wrong with football grounds.

You can see it from anywhere in the city pretty much... Doesn't need signposting..

Plus you just follow the crowds walking up there. :s-smilie:

No what I mean is, where the coaches park, it's very difficult to find the away end, and when coming out (of the away end) it's very difficult to get back to it because everyone is just walking one way. Well, I went in 2006 and as I 15/16 year old that's what I remember! :colondollar:

Got bad memories of that place, my team was 3-0 down in 12 minutes! But yeah, very funny little ancient ground in the middle of a park, was very surreal I have to say.

But worst away ground for me may be Luton's, which is a dump, to get to the away stand you pretty much have to walk through these crappy allotments and then when you get there, the leg room is ****ing dreadful and whole place run down. Although having said that, the ridiculously low league we have to be in now after we reformed, there's some grounds that don't even have seats and one where the terrace was supposed to have a roof, but it wasn't there any more and all that was left was the rusting, falling apart structure of it with wires just hanging down, certainly not something they'd allow in the FL:rolleyes:
Are you guys mad? Even the little grounds you've posted look cozy enough, and the soulless ones like the Reebok have comparatively more "history" than what we have to deal with in America. My "home ground", if you can even call it that, is shared with an American football team.

Seriously, look at the state of this

Oh right, what team do you support then?. I know that St Albans are in a lower league than conference now. My friend supports Luton so I sometimes see them and it is a ****hole (the town and stadium).
I support QPR and have a season ticket there. The stadium IMO the best in premier league just because its traditional, great atmosphere and that you are so close to the pitch. However if you are over 6 foot you will be very uncomfortable as it is so cramped

Fulham, or Watford.
