I'm planning on commuting from Bolton! If i have lectures everyday it's going to cost a lot - a train and a bus from the station twice a day!

A return from the uni to the bus station is £1.75, so it's not too bad.

I'm from Preston, but very glad I chose to live on campus. Easier to wander to lectures.
Hmmm it may be better to stick a note up in your department and see if you can get a lift in with someone and share the petrol money.
If you are on the bus everyday a unirider is a good idea and makes it cheaper...

I'm from Leyland and thought about doing it this year (my first year) but i'm really glad I chose to live on campus instead. I was gonna live at home and travel here in my first year, but i've decided against that cos it's just easier and more fun to be on campus

If your going to commute, then get a young persons rail card, as the train fare will soon mount up. Do you drive? If you do or its feesable to learn then i'd recommend coming by car as it will work out cheaper and only around 30/45 mins from Bolton.
