Does it always rain in Lancaster?

I've been told that it constantly rains in Lancaster. Is this the case? I hate rain and have minor S.A.D.

i come from manchester and the weather up here is soooo much better. it tends to be a bit colder but so far their has been hardly any rain and a lot of blue skies. given it's not warm but it looks like it could be :wink:

Nope it doesn't rain that much here. Weirdly, i've found that it tends to rain mainly at night.

yes i was surprised by this when i came. everyone sayd "its by the lake district its going to rain ALL the time" but its hardly rained at all. at least not in the day.

It never rains during the day, always at night. Not bad at all, had brilliant sunshine for the past coupla days, cept for the snow yesterday. But that doesnt count either, its not rain!! x

It's another glorious, sunny day today :smile:

You can maybe get hold of the Hazelrigg Weather station reports- it's right by the university and will tell you what the weather is like. But yeah, this year it's been stunning sunshine most of the days, chilly, and rainy at night... In Decemeber there were a couple of drizzly days, but it usually brightened up later on.

You can guarentee that if it's nice in the morning and I cycle into uni, it will start pissing down five miniutes into my ride home (and i have a loooong ride up )...
